Looking to make a difference in your community? HomeWorks, a Trenton-based 501(c)(3), is searching for a new house director for its after-school program. Founded in 2016, HomeWorks is a non-profit organization that provides a community-based, after-school boarding program for Black and Brown high school girls in Trenton. The young women who participate in this program are empowered to become community leaders through meaningful engagement, education, and community. For the house director role, HomeWorks is seeking a qualified staff member who is committed to the mission and values of the organization. For those interested in applying, the program description is as follows:

From Sunday evenings to Friday mornings, the organization’s scholars live in the HomeWorks house and are transported to and from their public schools. Every afternoon, the girls engage in activities focused on academics and identity-driven leadership. They then eat a family-style meal and stay overnight in dorms with two full-time staff. HomeWorks’ unique model brings the benefits of the boarding school experience to public education without the bureaucracy, high fixed costs, and scalability issues of an actual school. HomeWorks plans to run a full-year residential program from September 2022 to June 2023, but will adapt to COVID-19 guidelines and regulations as necessary.“
