| There’s a new program in town called the Trenton Business Improvement Incentive Program, which offers grants of up to 50% of total project costs with grants not to exceed $20,000 of a $40,000 project. This is program is open to businesses operating within retail spaces that are planning to make building improvements, with a minimum project cost of $5,000.Funds are limited to $299,778—when these funds are encumbered no further funds will be available.The desired outcomes of these expenditures are to create jobs, increase ratables, provide support for existing businesses and create more attractive retail districts for the people who live and work in Trenton.
