Community Pharmacy opened its new in-house pharmacy at St. Francis Medical Center. Conveniently located on the hospital’s first floor next to the cafeteria, Community Pharmacy at St. Francis serves patients—those hospitalized and outpatients, as well as staff and visitors. The pharmacy also offers free home delivery.

“I’m pleased to announce the opening of Community Pharmacy at St. Francis,” said Daniel P. Moen, President, St. Francis Medical Center. “Community Pharmacy provides convenient, high-quality pharmacy services, which aligns with St. Francis’ goal to provide quality, patient-centered care. I want to thank everyone for their hard work in making this vision a reality.”

“Community Pharmacy at St. Francis offers an innovative approach that ensures patients conveniently get the medications they need,” said Anand Kaji, MD, St. Francis Medical Center. “Having an in-house pharmacy allows us to readily serve patients, both inpatients being discharged and outpatients.

“For patients who are currently admitted in the hospital, their medications can now be delivered to their bedside prior to discharge. For patients who have appointments in the ambulatory and specialty clinics, these patients can pick up their medications right after their appointments and subsequent refills will be delivered to their homes by the pharmacy. It helps create a more seamless transition from care in the hospital to home.”

“We are happy to embark on this new journey here at St. Francis Medical Center. Our goal is to be able to provide quality service to all patients in the most efficient and timely manner possible,” said Goutham Reddy Kayithi, Vice President, Community Pharmacy at St. Francis.

Community Pharmacy at St. Francis is open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is located on the first floor of St. Francis Medical Center, 601 Hamilton Avenue, Trenton, NJ. To reach the pharmacy, call 609-341-9502.
