The Trenton Art Fund is now accepting grant applications for 2021 grant round! The on-line application is available here: https://pacf.org/trenton-arts-endowment/.

A little more than two years ago, the Trenton Arts Endowment Fund was created by Trenton residents David Henderson and John Hatch. The two feel strongly that the arts help make Trenton a great place to live, work and visit.

The Trenton Art Fund now actively supports Trenton’s arts organizations and artists– both emerging and established – while working to preserve the history and culture of the vibrant Trenton arts and culture community.

For this second grant round, they are looking to support Trenton arts, arts education, culture and history organizations as we all emerge out of the pandemic with grants ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. They will support arts organizations and artists as they reemerge with public performances, educational activities, exhibits, etc., and as they present and prepare innovative programs that specifically support Trenton’s children, teens and young people.

Grants will support operating costs and special projects related to re-opening, re-emerging and supporting Trenton’s young people. The Trenton Arts Endowment team believe that the arts, arts education, culture and history will be crucial as we re-set as a society after the long hiatus of the pandemic. Additionally, they believe that the arts will continue to help to revitalize the City of Trenton, and to provide meaningful and transformative experiences for our young people and families.

Princeton Area Community Foundation’s (PACF) COVID-19 Relief & Recovery Fund is supporting this vision through a $75,000 donor-restricted challenge grant. The Fund needs to equally raise $75,000 to receive this matching donation.

The Fund has an initial goal of $10,000; when this is raised, the first $10,000 match will be credited to the Trenton Arts Endowment Fund, doubling donations to the arts in Trenton.

The Advisors to the Trenton Art Endowment Fund (John Hatch, June Ballinger, Dr. Maurice Hall, Craig Shofed, David Henderson, John Clarke, Cate Litvack and Edwin Torresare) are asking everyone who has the future of Trenton in their hearts and minds to embrace the idea of the Trenton Arts Endowment Fund and donate. You can start by donating to the Endowment here.

Please note:  Applicant organizations applying for the Trenton Art Fund must be based in the City of Trenton and be focused on serving the Trenton community.  Applications are due by July 1, 2021.
