Located at Elm & Adeline Streets, the Blue Danube is one of the many authentic, diverse, amazing restaurants in Trenton, NJ. Offering an extensive variety of Eastern European cuisine as well as continental fare, the restaurant serves awe-inspiring dishes from countries along the Danube River: Hungarian, Romanian, German, Polish and Czech.

Here you’ll find stuffed cabbage, pierogies, chicken paprikas, beef goulash, sauerbraten, weiner schnitzel to name a few. They offer large portions at reasonable prices along with tasteful theme nights that reflect the cuisine of neighboring countries. On Tuesdays it’s Hungarian/Romanian; Wednesdays it’s Seafood; and on Thursdays it’s German/Polish.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is comfortable, as though you’re stepping through the doors of a European Cafe. Its name comes from The Danube, which is 1,770 miles long from its source in the Black Forest of southern Germany to the Black Sea, in Romania. It is the second longest river in Europe. Eight of the fifteen eastern European countries lie within its basin.
