At a recent ribbon cutting ceremony held on Friday May 3rd, the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen debuted their recently renovated headquarters.

Located at 73 1/2 Escher Street, the new space was made possible through the organization’s $2 million Building Into The Future capital project campaign. Launched in 2017, the capital project includes a 3,300-square-foot addition, a refurbished dining room and expanded areas for programs.

Established in the early 1980’s by a small group of local churches and service organizations, the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK) provides more than 3,000 free meals per week to people in need in the Trenton area. They direct their activities toward helping patrons achieve healthier lifestyles, increased self-esteem, and self-sufficiency. To this end, TASK and agencies using the facility provide a wide array of social, community, and health services.
