The 2019 Capital City Farmers Market (CCFM) will be offering locally grown produce, handcrafted teas, flowers, potted plants, sweet treats, cold-pressed juices, handcrafted wine, prepared foods and more! This 20 plus year staple in the heart of Downtown Trenton is a lunchtime oasis for anyone working and residing in the area.
The market begins on Thursday, May 9, 2019 and runs for six months through October 31, 2019 from 11 am – 2 pm in Historic Mill Hill Park located at 165 East Front St.
More than just Mercer County’s largest lunchtime event in downtown Trenton, the Capital City Farmers Market is an incubator for local entrepreneurs and newer small businesses to grow their customer base and eventually open up a storefront. Ever growing, the market attracts over 4,000 patrons each week, offering a small glimpse into what makes Trenton great.
New for 2019
CCFM welcomes River Lea House which will bring fresh New Jersey grown garlic and garlic-related products and offering a FRESH alternative to older garlic found in supermarkets. Visit their tent to learn all there is to know about garlic, from how to grow, proper ways to cook with it and learn great recipes while you shop. River Lea House sources first from their farm, then New Jersey, then the US. If not, then only reputable growers they trust. All from farms to your table whether at home or your favorite restaurant. Besides fresh garlic, they sell garlic scapes (seasonal), black garlic, freeze dried and an assortment of pickled items like garlic, scapes, asparagus and onions. One of their specialties is fresh hummus made with no preservatives.
River Lea House joins many dedicated long-standing CCFM vendors. We are pleased to announce the following returning vendors: Asprocolas Acres; The Salad Basket; Arlee’s Raw Blends; Cream Ridge Winery; The Market at Styers; Tea-For-All; The Cheesecake Lady; Royal Cake Creations; CLEB Jewelry; Iree Sky; Al Francis Fashions; Best in Bloom, Krakus Deli; and Pickelicious.
