The event is to help bring awareness of lead contamination in water, poor water infrastructure, and the health of Assunpink Creek. The event will kick off with a cleanup at the Assunpink Creek, then a block party with many exciting activities, including music, games, food, and much more.

Trenton Community Day is a beloved yearly tradition that brings members of our community from all walks of life together to celebrate what makes the Capital City unique. The watershed cleanup is an excellent chance for Trentonians to get their hands dirty, learn more about the unique characteristics of the Assunpink Creek, and pitch in towards maintaining the community’s natural beauty. Meanwhile, the day’s games, music, and food allow community members to connect and enjoy some time with neighbors and friends. A Saturday along the Assunpink with community members is sure to be a delight to every member of your family.

This event is spearheaded by the East Trenton Collaborative, a dynamic group of community stakeholders working tirelessly to make East Trenton and beyond a great place to live, work, and play.
