On Saturday, December 12, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Project M.O.V.E. (Making Our Visions Evident), Peterson’s Breaking News of Trenton and The Top Ladies of Distinction – Trenton Chapter, will join forces once again to provide for those in need.

Last month, the community partners collaborated to provide a free Thanksgiving meal for Trentonians at Unity Square Park, formerly Columbus Park in Trenton. In light of the holiday season, the groups will be providing another holiday meal this upcoming weekend at the same location.

“At the last event, we were able to feed 275 people, I’m looking forward to seeing what this week’s event will bring,” said Thomas Peterson of Peterson’s Breaking News of Trenton. “We are even having Minister Conswaila Diggs onsite ministering communion for those who want to experience the sacrament, but due to churches being closed, have been unable to participate in their usual church setting.”

At this festive event, the organizations will be featuring a menu that consist of chili, cornbread, salad and dessert. There will also be a limited amount of gift bags provided to residents.

Crystal Feliciano, event organizer said, “We are once again grateful to Mayor Gusciora and his administration as well as to Donyale Thompson, Naseeb Washington, Tonetta Blue, Tkay Kelly, Nickey Enders, Nicole Hamlet-Showell and Rosalind Friday for giving their time and cooking talents to help make this happen.”

“We are proud of our efforts thus far in giving back to those in the city,” said Coreen Grooms, President of the Top Ladies of Distinction – Trenton Chapter. “Movements such as this shows what can happen when people come together and work towards a common goal.”
