Let’s play ball! That’s right, this Saturday, August 24th, 2019 the NAACP Trenton Branch will be hosting an exciting Summer Cookout Bash!
Closing out summer with a bang is the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) Trenton Branch, bringing to the community an event full of good vibes, good food and music, and fun.
At the West End Little League Field, located on Parkside Avenue of Trenton, the Summer Cookout Bash will occur, its main event: a baseball game between “the millennials” and “the old-timers”. Yes, you heard right! Teams of either millennials or old-timers will go head to head in a game of baseball. Winners of the game will then face off in a follow-up game against the combined team of the Trenton Police and Fire Department.
This event will consist of fun for all! Be sure to tie your cleats, grab your gear, and gather your team of at least ten to fifteen players. If you do not wish to play, that’s okay too, for umpires are needed and cheerleaders are welcome!
This is a free event that will begin at 2:00 p.m.. To attend, reservations are not needed, however, be sure to sign up bring your own gear if you and your team wish to participate in the games.
