While it may seem like November is still ages away, before you know it, Election Day will once again be upon us. With countless campaigns and candidates vying for your vote, these next few months will no doubt be a whirlwind of information. Every now and then, however, a candidate comes along which can unite the people and get the community fired up for an important cause. And when it comes to our friends at the Trenton Thunder, you can be certain that this campaign will be “booming” with excitement.

The Trenton Thunder recently announced the launch of their brand new campaign, “Boomer For the People”. At a time when conventional campaigns are meant to divide, this lighthearted campaign is a fun way for the people of Trenton and beyond to come together for a cause we can all get behind: the importance of education. As the Trenton Thunder’s beloved Boomer T. Thunderbird tosses his baseball cap into the presidential ring, this beloved mascot is going to need your help to bring his bid all the way to the White House.

Throughout the 2024 season, the Trenton Thunder will be collecting school supplies at each of their home games, as well as at special events prior to the season. All collected supplies will go towards benefiting children in the Trenton Public School District. This campaign is an easy way to get involved, support local students, and have a bit of fun along the way. If you’re interested in playing a part in this captivating campaign, Trenton Thunder fans can get involved in a variety of ways, including:

  • Grabbing a free “Boomer for the People” lawn sign at Trenton Thunder Ballpark (one per group). Taking a picture of their sign in their yard and sharing it on social media, tagging the Thunder and using the QR code to request a “campaign stop” at their house (Boomer might just swing by!).
  • Rocking exclusive “Boomer for the People” T-shirts and other merchandise available in the Thunder Company Store.

With the intensity and intrigue of an election year, this campaign is a lighthearted way to get into the spirit of the season and uplift youth in the area along the way. Access to school supplies is a major factor in student success, and your contribution can play a meaningful role in offering a brighter school year ahead for local students in need.
