The City of Trenton recently announced that applications for their summer job positions are now officially open. Now through March 22nd, you are invited to apply for a number of engaging roles throughout the community. There are a number of positions available, meaning that there is something for every kind of employee. Whether you want to be a part of presenting the city’s epic summer block parties or act as security at the myriad of recreational activities throughout the town, there is a place for you in making this our community’s best summer yet.

These positions are offered by the City of Trenton’s Department of Recreation, Natural Resources, and Culture. There are roles available in a number of different programs, including:

  • Summer Food Service Program
  • Summer Pool Program
  • Security: Boat Ramps, Parks, Pools, Recreation Centers, and Programs
  • Playground, Program, and Event Support Team
  • Take It To the Streets (neighborhood block parties)

If you are interested in applying and are under the age of 18, please do be aware that working papers must be obtained prior to starting their employment. After you’ve applied, you will receive confirmation that the application was submitted successfully and your information will automatically be saved on file. After reviewing applications, the city expects to begin conducting interviews the week of April 1st through April 5th.

Upon completion of the interview round, all candidates must pass a medical and background screening in order to qualify for employment with the City of Trenton. Proper ID will be required, including a driver’s license, school ID, birth certificate, social security card, and proof of residency. If selected for a position, please do be aware that all candidates must be available for job training during the months of May and June. The deadline for applications is March 22nd, so be sure to apply before this opportunity passes you by.
