Get ready to celebrate because the Trenton Puerto Rican Parade is officially on for Summer 2023! Whether you’re a member of the Puerto Rican community or an ally looking to experience more of this beautiful culture, all are welcome to be a part of the fun.

The Trenton Puerto Rican Community and Friends Organization recently announced that this year’s Puerto Rican Parade will be held right here in the Capital City on Sunday, August 6th. Kicking off at noon on Labor St., the parade will go throughout the city to its final destination at Mill Hill Park. Once at the park, guests can enjoy this year’s festival, which will be held from 2 pm to 7 pm. Festivities will include activities, global cuisine, and live music and entertainment from Puerto Rican artists. The 2023 Madrina, Padrino, and Reinado will also be presented.

The theme for this year’s celebrations is ¡Oye mi Canto!, or Hear My Song. Whether the chirping song of the coquí, the enticing rhythm of “la clave,” or the passionate voices of advocates all across the island, this year’s celebrations highlight the sounds and chants that bring the island and its people to life.

The Trenton Puerto Rican Community and Friends Organization presents the parade and festival. This coalition of devoted advocates works tirelessly to bring Puerto Rican culture to the Capital City, fostering a sense of cultural pride amongst the community along the way. Open to both members of the community as well as friends and supporters, this organization plays an integral part in highlighting the important role that the Puerto Rican community and the Latino community at large play in broader society.
