United Way of Greater Mercer County (UWGMC) wants to help you get into the college of your dreams.
On July 21, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., UWGMC is offering a free virtual Zoom workshop to assist college-bound students with their college admissions essays. This educational opportunity will teach soon-to-be college students how to reflect the best of themselves in writing and tell a compelling story to get into the college(s) of their choice.
Students will learn techniques from UWGMC experts and gain an understanding of what colleges look for in an essay. The assistance will guide students through their essays, teaching sophisticated, grammatically correct writing and clear, coherent communication.
For students wanting a more hands-on experience, UWGMC will offer a second, in-person workshop next month. On August 4, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., college-ready students can attend the in-person event at The Father Center of New Jersey, located at 1 West State Street on the 5th Floor.
UWGMC asks that each student register before the date of each event. To register and learn more about United Way of Greater Mercer County, visit: https://www.uwgmc.org/collegeaid
