Trenton Downtown Association (TDA) has announced that the 2020 Capital City Farmers’ Market (CCFM) will not be opening this summer. The market traditionally attracts thousands of visitors to Mill Hill Park every Thursday from April to October.

Even as the state begins to slowly reopen, TDA has remained extremely cautious about hosting large-scale gatherings such as the CCFM due to ongoing concerns about the health and safety of the community during the coronavirus pandemic.

“We have reached out to our vendors to offer support until we can safely reopen. We are fully committed to doing what we can to help the farmers and vendors who make this market such a spirited event and valuable resource for our community,” says Amanda Donald, Marketing Manager for TDA, who operates the Capital City Farmers’ Market.

TDA encourages consumers and restaurants to buy from our local farmers, especially while the market is closed. “It’s more important than ever that we support our local businesses,” she stresses. “We will be adding a listing of farmers and vendors to our website at trenton-downtown.com, as well as featuring them on our social media pages over the next few months.”
