“We are now faced with the fact that tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now. In this unfolding conundrum of life and history, there ‘is’ such a thing as being too late. This is no time for apathy or complacency. This is a time for vigorous and positive action.” – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. have echoed through the generations, inspiring Americans of all ages to a higher standard of service and giving. Throughout his life, Dr. King fought tirelessly for civil rights and for a vision of America which offered everyone a seat at the table. As we get ready to remember Dr. King this upcoming MLK Day, don’t just sit back and let the day pass you by. On Friday, January 12th, you are invited to join the City of Trenton for a day of service in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The day’s projects will be held from 10am to 1pm at Trenton’s City Hall Atrium, located at 319 E State St, Trenton, NJ 08608. Throughout the morning, guests will have the opportunity to get involved in a number of hands-on projects which will support local non-profit organizations making a difference in our community.
