But fret not! Thanks to the support of the Trenton Public Library, help is available to help get you to wherever your next venture lies.
An abundance of resources are available to Trenton residents at the Trenton Public Library’s Labor and Literacy Lab. This one-stop shop provides patrons with all the resources they need to thrive, including GED training, appointments with the Motor Vehicle Commission, job applications, resume workshops, and so much more. Whether you’re looking to go back to school to finish your diploma, are seeking our a new job, or are looking to venture on a new career path altogether, the Labor and Literacy Lab is here with open arms and a helping hand.
One-hour appointments are available at the lab from 11am to 1pm Mondays through Fridays. If you wish to take advantage of these fantastic services, appointments can be made by calling (609) 392-7188 or by contacting the library online here: Contact Us – TPL. Appointments are available on a first come, first served basis. During your time at the lab, guests will have the opportunity to work one on one with a library staff member. This staff member will be available to guide patrons through a number of services and processes, including searching for jobs online, creating a new email address account, updating your resume, and much more.
Spaces like the Labor and Literacy Lab remain an integral tool in uplifting the community and making the pathway to an education and a career accessible. There are many barriers to access that prevent people from attaining these critical services, including a lack of technical knowledge, inability to access critical technology like a computer, wifi, etc., and much more.
