We’re rapidly approaching the end of the school year, much to the delight of students throughout the region. However, just because the class is out for the season doesn’t mean the learning needs to be!
The Trenton City Museum will host their Family Engagement Program for local youth this summer. Each Saturday from July 1st through July 29th, children ages 5-13, and their families are invited to the Trenton City Museum for a morning full of creative fun in the Capital City. Admission is $5 for the first child and $3 for any additional children in the party. Throughout the summer, kiddos can participate in creative art projects, museum history and exploration, and a calendar chock-full of learning and fun. This event invites little ones to the Ellarslie Mansion, where a whole world is just waiting to be explored. Just a couple of the exciting exhibits currently on display include:
- Ellarslie Open 40, which features the work of the annual juried exhibition of Trenton City Museum
- Stacy-Trent Hotel, Trenton, explores one of the Capital City’s most renowned institutions.
The Trenton City Museum also boasts a fascinating permanent collection. Tucked away in the Ellarslie Mansion, you’ll find an extensive catalog of fine and decorative arts and cultural and industrial artifacts, all relating to the City of Trenton. If you’re looking for a fun and interactive way to teach our youngest Trentonians more about the incredible city they call home, the Trenton City Museum is the perfect place to do it!
