On Wednesday, June 19 at 4 p.m., Foundation Collegiate Academy Charter School (FCA) celebrated the graduation ceremony of the Class of 2019 at The College of New Jersey’s Kendall Hall. This year’s ceremony marks the sixth consecutive year of FCA graduates achieving 100 percent college acceptance, while also celebrating the record-breaking $13.1M in academic scholarships and grants collectively earned by the 65 members of the Class of 2019.

“Graduation day is always a very special day for our seniors as they begin a new chapter in their lives. It’s bittersweet because we will miss them next year, but we are so happy to celebrate their accomplishments along with their peers, parents and the community today,” said Foundation Collegiate Academy Principal Melissa Campbell. “We’re incredibly proud and can’t wait to see what their futures will hold.”

The FCA Class of 2019’s future plans are as diverse as the graduates themselves, representing a wide range of interests, talents and skills. Students will be pursuing careers in education, nursing, special education, criminal justice, photography, medicine, real estate, aviation, fire science, sociology, anthropology, speech therapy, health and exercise science, early childhood education, social work, computer engineering, biology, mechanical engineering, filmmaking, interactive multimedia, law, architecture and environmental design, biomedical engineering, psychology, mathematics, English, history, business, criminology, and human resources.

The students plan to attend colleges including TCNJ, NYU, Howard, Rider, Tufts, Temple, Kean, MCCC, Rutgers, Montclair, Stockton, and many more.

“Throughout their time at Foundation Academies, our students are held to extremely high standards. This graduating class is no exception, as time after time they have proven that they have what it takes to face challenges head-on and persevere. Through hard work and the support of our family of teachers and staff, these students have achieved incredible things, and we are excited to celebrate this important moment with them,” said Graig Weiss, CEO of Foundation Academies. “It is our hope that their experience here at Foundation has prepared them for personal and professional success in college and beyond.”
