On Wednesday, March 20th, members of the New Jersey State Police and SWAT team arrived in Trenton for hands-on tactical training with the pros from Jersey Tactical Corp. Throughout the day’s demonstrations, participating policemen and law enforcement personnel worked alongside training professionals who walked the officers through the ins and outs of breaking down doors and other barriers. Unlike many trainings, which involve simulated scenarios, officers had the opportunity to practice their skills in a live setting. The day’s trainings gave officers the chance to practice in a variety of settings, helping to guarantee that these troopers will be ready to spring into action in any number of different environments. A special debt of gratitude is owed to the owner’s of Trenton’s 240 West State St., who generously donated their space for the day’s proceedings.
With eye protection on and battering rams in hand, groups of law enforcement personnel broke up into teams and worked alongside the Jersey Tactical Corp. trainers through the ins and outs of forcible entry. From learning the perfect angle to break down a door to maximizing use of your environment to help keep innocent people safe, officers were provided a comprehensive overview of what to do when emergency strikes. In the wake of mass shootings all throughout the nation, it is more important than ever that law enforcement has access to top of the line training to help stop these tragedies before they start. And after a full day of action and learning under their belts, these troopers concluded their day better-prepared to keep our great state safe.
